Reflection paragraph on findings
The most important fact that I learned about my senior project title is that it don't take that long to graduate from college. I am really excited to go and study in this field. It is a difficult job and you have to be able to have a lot of patience because that is the success in auto mechanic. If I could ask any other question is that "What are some secrets that someone could tell me to be able to succeed in this job?" I want to learn a lot about cars because with my cars I want to make into a fast and the furious car that's my dream.

question #8
what is a way that auto mechanic could help out?
Auto mechanic can help out a lot of people out. A reason why is because if the person knows about auto mechanic he or she won't have to go out and pay someone to fix up their car and they would be able to fix it themselves. When people actually start to think about what could be useful to them they don't think about the little stuff and knowing about a car is really helpful. When they know about the car they will not have to go out and pay other people to fix their problem they would just have to buy the pieces that are messed up and fix it themselves. That's a way that auto mechanic is helpful.
SORRY FOR NO SOURCES I HAD TO COME UP WITH A LAST MINUTE QUESTION....
Question #7
How long would someone have to study auto mechanic to be able to graduate from college?
For someone who is going to school for auto mechanic it takes two years the least. But then again everyone learns something new every day that they didnt know about. Some people go to a university for atleast four years and thats on and off hands on work. "Pretty good money is all subjective..... Ase certified can be gained as fast as you can pass the test.. a smart person can do it after getting out of trade school, but to be fully certified takes 2 years (2 years of school equals one year). On the money, It depends upon how fast you are at twisting wrenches and willing to learn and pick up the secrets... stop beleiving the B/S about making $30k + right out of school.. unless you shade treed for years before, it will take a few years to pickup the hints and tricks like I use in the shop everyday to cut the time I need to do a job.Truthfully I don't make what I should be making, but at the same time I'm not as fast as other techs at my place of work, but I have a knack of fixing the "Hard core" electrical and driveability issues that I love doing (usually I get what every other shop in town has passed on) and for me the satisfaction is worth the little less I make than some of the others in my shop." So everything depends on what the people wanna study because some people go to college for 2 years and start working so basically there really aint a how long it would take someone to graduate but mainly its 2 years.

question #6
How much would someone need to get from a loan to go to a university?
To go to ITT Technical institution is $18,048. "The tuition at ITT Technical Institute-Myrtle Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is $18,048 for in-state students, which is $6,024 more expensive than the average for all Colleges and Universities. Out-of-state tuition is $18,048, which is $4,565 more expensive than the average for all Colleges and Universities." The university of UTI loan is $16,875. Basically it all depends on which university someone wants to go to and what they wanna go study. In ITT it's cheaper than to go to UTI and they would be studying the same thing but one is more expensive than the other.

question #5
What must someones GPA be to get into a auto mechanic university?
Everything depends on which university someone is going to. An example is the Lewis-Clark state college. They need "A minimum of four, one-year scholarships are available for students attending LCSC. Student must be an incoming freshman. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students majoring in one of the following approved fields of study. Automated Manufacturing Technology; Engineering Technology; Heating, Air Conditioning and Appliance Technology; Industrial Electronics Technology or Welding Technology. The amount of the award is variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1." They must also have 12 credits and be a full time student."To qualify for admission, an individual must:
• Have a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
• Meet with a representative of ITT Tech
• Pass an admissions test or have an acceptable score on ACT or SAT taken in the last five years or have earned either 36 quarter credit hours (or 24 semester or trimester credit hours) with an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale from an accredited educational institution."
It's almost the same for every university for someone to get in the lowest GPA someone could have is a 2.0 in a 4.0 scale.

question #4
Whats the best university to go study auto mechanic?
There a lot of universities that someone could attend. "Once you have made the decision to go to an automotive school, now you must figure out the best school for you. This is, of course, a personal decision, but you do not want it to be an overwhelming one. When looking at different schools, it is important to focus on certain areas. Location is an important factor to consider. Do you want to be close to home or do you want to go away to auto school? Many of the automotive mechanic schools offer housing options both on and near campus for single and married students. To help defray costs, many auto tech schools will also help you find a roommate should you choose to live away at school. You also want to decide if you would like to attend automotive technology schools that are in a big city where there may be lots of activities to get involved in, or in a more suburban setting where people tend to drive cars more often and longer distances. Maybe you want to work school into your work schedule. If this is the case, then you will probably want to attend an automotive tech school close to home and work." Therefore the college all depends on where someone is located at. There are a lot of schools the best ones are ashworth, Lincoln technical institute, penn foster, Stratford career institute, Westwood college, and also universal technical institute. Those are the best schools to probably attend.

Question #3
What must be learnt about this job that people are not aware of? Some mechanics do not tell you everything and when they do they try and charge a lot for the work that they are going to do on the car. "14. Don't be duped by double labor.
“If a mechanic offers to change your timing belt and water pump, question how long the job will take. Some will charge you double labor even though the second task is essentially done once the belt is removed.”" This is an example of the things that they can charge you double on that people are not aware of. Another thing that they do not tell you is "12. Consult your dealer...
...before you have work done on a catalytic converter or emissions parts. Some of these items carry a very long warranty, and free replacement is often required by law."

Question #2
What are classes that need to be taken to attend a automotive university?
The classes that need to be taken are the same as any other university. We need 4 English, 3 math, 2-3 foreign language, 2-3 science also, and 2-3 in social studies including history. "The Automotive Engineering Technology Technology program at Ferris leads to a bachelor of science degree in Automotive Engineering Technology. Graduation requires a minimum 2.0 GPA overall. BS degree Automotive Engineering Technology students must complete all general education requirements as outlined on the General Education website." The quote says what is actually needed inside of the university.

Question #1
What are the highest paying fields in auto mechanic?
The highest paying fields in the auto mechanic industry depends on how fast and accurate you work. A website says that "A job as a diesel mechanic, repairing the engines that power transportation equipment like heavy trucks and buses, starts at $20 per hour in the South and pays even more in more expensive areas like New York." Another website says "most Mechanics are paid on what is called a flag hour scale based on an hourly rate. so if a say for instance a tune up,and a brake job with turning the rotors. calls for a total of 7 flag hours. And the Mechanic completes the entire Job in 3 hrs. Then they pay him for 7 hrs at what ever his hourly rate is. but if that same job takes him 10 hrs to complete then he only gets paid for 7 hrs.So a good mechanic who is fast and accurate can make as much as he wants in one day. So $200,000 a year is possible without working for BMW , Mercedes- Benz.Retired Mechanic for 35 years working the Flag rates." If you want to get good money you have to work fast and have to be very accurate with your work that you do so uyou wont mess up and have to redo the work again.

The Story behind my topic choice
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to be an auto mechanic. The main reason why I chose to be an auto mechanic is because I grew up working with cars. Another thing is that I don't want to be paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars to fix my own car. I watched my uncle work on cars and then seen cars on tv that I liked. After that I decided that I wanted to work on cars and try and make them look and sound good for example one of the cars from the fast and the furious. Ever since that my dream was to have one of those cars that I could call mine.
